PIMORONI Pirate Audio Speaker for Raspberry Pi

The PIMORONI Pirate Audio Speaker for Raspberry Pi utilizes the MAX98357A DAC/amplifier chip to provide high-quality digital audio output. It features a built-in 1W mini speaker (8Ω) and a 1.3" IPS color LCD screen for displaying album art or other visual information. The board is designed to be compatible with Raspberry Pi models via the 40-pin GPIO header.

• Use Without Enabling Dac: Ensure BCM 25 is driven high to enable the DAC,
• Connect Buttons Incorrectly: Buttons are active low and connected to pins BCM 5, 6, 16, and 24

• Configure Dac: Add dtoverlay=hifiberry-dac to /boot/config.txt file,
• Enable Dac: Drive the DAC enable pin (BCM 25) high by adding gpio=25=op,dh to /boot/config.txt file,
• Enable Spi: Enable SPI through the Raspberry Pi configuration menu
