Working Principle

Description

The Digital LDR Module detects the presence and intensity of light. It outputs a high signal when light is detected and a low signal in its absence. The sensitivity of the module can be adjusted via an onboard potentiometer, allowing it to react to different light conditions.

Sensor Types

Light Dependent Resistor (LDR)

Dos And Donts

Donts

  • Overload Power: Do not exceed the recommended operating voltage of 5V DC to avoid damaging the module.,
  • Expose To Extreme Conditions: Avoid exposing the module to extreme environmental conditions that could affect its performance and longevity.

Dos

  • Adjust Sensitivity: Use the onboard potentiometer to adjust the sensitivity of the module to suit the ambient light conditions of your environment.,
  • Mount Securely: Utilize the M3 mounting hole to securely attach the module to an object or surface.,
  • Check Power Requirements: Ensure that the module is connected to a power supply between 3.3V and 5V DC.
Limits

Current

  • Maximum: 15 mA

Voltage

  • Minimum: 3.3V,
  • Maximum: 5V
How To Connect

Output

  • Do: Connect the Digital Output to a microcontroller unit (MCU) to detect high or low TTL signals, or directly to a relay module to create a photoelectric switch.

Power

  • Vcc: Connect to a power supply between 3.3V and 5V DC.,
  • Gnd: Connect to the ground of the power supply.
